Finn Bálor, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Tatus Paxley, Nia Jax, Lash Legend, and Giulia are shown arriving at the arena.
The Steel Cage is hanging high above the ring as we go into the arena. The cage then begins to lower as pulsing music plays and pyrotechnics go off.

Trick Williams (c) w/ Lil Yachty vs. Baron Corbin
Referees: Dan Engler and Daphne LaShaunn (ringside official)
The bell rings, and they quickly start exchanging punches. Corbin pushes him off, but Williams comes back with a spin kick, followed by a flapjack. Williams kips up, and the crowd is loudly chanting for him. Williams chops and stomps Corbin in the corner. Williams lifts Corbin, but Corbin slides off his shoulders and throws him into the cage wall. Corbin avalanches him against the wall and punches him in the back of the neck. Corbin hits Williams with a Death Valley Driver for a two-count.
-Commercial Break-
Picture-in-Picture Commercial Break: Corbin sends Williams into the cage wall again before punching him in the head. Corbin talks trash and delivers another blow to his skull. Lil Yachty yells at Corbin from the ringside. Williams rolls Corbin up for a two-count. Corbin pops up and knees him in the midsection before driving him headfirst back into the wall. Corbin starts to climb the cage, but Williams gets up and pulls him down. Williams puts Corbin on his shoulders and hits a Michinoku Driver II for a two-count. Corbin retreats to the corner and kicks Williams back. Corbin hits a vertical suplex in the center of the ring. Corbin saunters around before grabbing Williams and digging his face into the metal mesh of the cage. Corbin stands him up, leans him against the wall, and clubs him. Corbin goes for a clothesline, but Williams ducks and hits a neckbreaker. Williams takes a moment to recover and starts to climb the cage. Williams gets to the top and puts a leg over, but Corbin climbs and catches up with him.
Back from the break, Corbin and Williams are seated on the top trellis of the cage and are exchanging punches. Williams starts to unload on Corbin, and Corbin starts to climb down. Williams positions himself in the center and starts to climb over, but Corbin scales the top rope and applies a front facelock! Corbin has him hanging over the ringside area. Corbin starts to drag him over the top of the cage and hits a superplex back into the ring! Corbin covers. 1… 2… Williams kicks out! Williams turns over and covers Corbin for a near fall.
Both men are down. Corbin slowly gets up and heads to the wall to climb. Williams crawls toward the open door, so Corbin gets down and throws Williams back. The door is shut, but Corbin kicks it open to hit Lil Yachty with it! Corbin smiles as the rapper goes down. Williams then hits Corbin with a Trick Kick for a near fall. Williams sets up for a Trick Shot, but Corbin counters with a clothesline. Corbin slowly gets up and hits the champion with a chokeslam. Corbin collapses in pain and exhaustion. Corbin heads to the door, and Lil Yachty is standing in full view of him, slamming the door in his face. Williams hits Corbin with a Trick Shot! 1… 2… Corbin kicks out! No one has ever kicked out of the Trick Shot. Williams, with a bloodied mouth, is stunned.
Corbin grabs Williams and drives his knee into the cage before hitting a German Suplex. Corbin sends him into the ropes and hits a Deep Six. 1… 2… Williams kicks out. Corbin gets up and signals for the end. Williams flips through the End of Days, sends Corbin headfirst into the cage twice, and hits a Book End. Williams is fired up. Williams pulls Corbin back up and hits a second Book End. Williams isn’t done. He’s out for revenge. Williams pulls him up and hits a third Book End. 1… 2… 3.

Locker Room Interview
Cathy Kelley is in the locker room with Nia Jax and Lash Legend. Legend isn’t worried about Charlotte Flair and Giulia. Jax says Legend is more talented, athletic, and gorgeous. Legend loves that and wants Jax to interview her. Legend tells Jax she’s going to win Money in the Bank and take the Women’s Championship home. They tell Kelley to take notes.
Replay: Last week on SmackDown, Johnny Gargano tried and failed to get involved in the WWE Championship match with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. CM Punk then tried and hit Owens in the head with the title. Zayn knocked Punk away and covered Owens for the controversial win.
Backstage Segment
CM Punk is preparing for his match when SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis says he has to talk to him. Punk asks if he’s in trouble, and Aldis says he isn’t. Punk follows Aldis.

General Manager’s Office
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis leads CM Punk into his office, where Kevin Owens is waiting. Aldis says he cannot continue having them going at it and bleeding into the Money in the Bank Qualifying Matches. Aldis wants to say this once and clearly. Punk says Owens has nothing he wants. If he stays out of Punk’s way, Punk will stay out of his. Owens just walks off and bumps Punk on the way out.
Locker Room Segment
WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green is worried in her locker room when Tiffany Stratton walks in. Green is worried about the briefcase and Nikki Bella. Paige walks in and tells Green to focus. Paige and Stratton walk off. Nikki Bella comes in and insults Green. Nothing will stop her from becoming champion. Paige and Stratton come in and send Bella away. Green says, “Never meet your heroes.”
In the arena, Charlotte Flair makes her entrance.

Charlotte Flair vs. Giulia vs. Lash Legend
Referee: Felix Fernandez
Lash Legend and Giulia shove each other before Giulia slaps her. Legend angrily runs her over with a clothesline. Flair tackles Legend into the corner. Giulia attacks Flair, but Flair starts chopping her. Legend hits a double clothesline on them and poses. Legend throws Giulia into the corner. Flair sidesteps an avalanche and kicks Legend. Giulia jumps on Flair’s back, but Flair slams her off. Legend big boots Flair and kicks her out of the ring. Legend sends Giulia into the ropes, but Giulia counters with a head-scissor into a guillotine choke. Legend drops down, but she soon powers Giulia up. Legend then transitions into a delayed vertical suplex. Legend kips up, but she doesn’t stick the landing. Flair hits Legend with a diving crossbody block before hitting a clothesline over the top rope. Flair goes to the apron and hits Legend with a cannonball. Giulia then comes off the barricade with a flat back bump missile dropkick on Flair! Oof.

Back from the break, Flair starts chopping away at Legend. Legend shoves her off, but Flair follows her into the ropes and hits a front handspring into a clothesline. Giulia runs in, but Flair hits her with a fallaway slam. Flair struts in the ring before pulling Giulia up onto her shoulders. Flair climbs to the second rope with Giulia on her shoulders. Legend runs over and powerbombs Flair, while Giulia takes an avalanche Samoan Drop! Legend covers Flair for a near fall. Legend quickly runs over to Giulia and picks up another near fall.
Legend lifts Flair, but Flair slides off and slings her throat-first into the ropes. Flair comes off the second rope, but Legend catches her and powers into a fallaway slam. Legend kips up and turns into a missile dropkick from Giulia for a near fall. Giulia angrily stomps Legend to the apron and chokes her with her boot. Flair rolls Giulia up, but Giulia rolls through and kicks her in the face several times. Legend throws Giulia back, and Flair hits Legend with a chop block. Flair hits Legend with a backstabber before going for the Figure Four Leglock. Giulia attacks Flair and headbutts her. Giulia sends Flair into the corner, but Flair rolls up the turnbuckles, lands on the apron, and knocks Giulia back. Flair big boots Legend off the apron and climbs to the top rope. Giulia attacks Flair and climbs to the top rope to hit a butterfly superplex! Legend quickly gets in the ring and throws Giulia out of the ring before covering Flair. 1… 2… Flair kicks out.
Legend cannot believe it. Legend pulls Flair up, but Flair forearms her. Flair runs Legend into Giulia to knock her off the apron. Flair hits Legend with a German Suplex, but Legend elbows out of a second one. Legend sets up for a Figure Four Leglock, but Flair kicks her off. Giulia knees Legend before Flair boots Legend. Flair launches Giulia off the top rope into Legend. Flair steps on them and heads to the top rope for a double moonsault. Flair covers Legend for a near fall. Flair is angry and sizes them up. Legend avoids a Natural Selection, but Giulia takes it. Flair gets out of a Lash Extension and applies a Figure Eight to Legend. Giulia quickly attacks Flair to break up the submission. Giulia hits the Arrivederci Knee on Flair before hitting a Northern Lights Bomb. 1… Legend pulls Giulia off Flair and hits the Lash Extension for the win.

Lash Legend joins Lola Vice, Sol Ruca, Roxanne Perez, and Jacy Jayne in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
Video: Last week, after an interview with Michael Cole ended, Cody Rhodes told Cole that he wouldn’t hesitate to kick Randy Orton’s head in.

Giulia is limping backstage when Blake Monroe taunts her. Giulia attacks her, and the brawl is quickly broken up. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis runs up and says he’s seen enough sneak attacks. Next week, they’ll have a match.
Michael Cole interviews Randy Orton
Michael Cole looks uncomfortable as he sits next to Randy Orton. Orton asks if Cole will say anything. Cole says he isn’t comfortable being here. Orton will help Cole do his job. In regard to Cody Rhodes’ interview last week, what did he say? Cole said Rhodes said he didn’t want to compromise himself and change. Orton says there was something else after the cameras stopped rolling, and it was on social media. Cole says Rhodes said he’d kick Orton’s head off. Orton asks why Rhodes said that when the cameras stopped rolling. Cole doesn’t know. Orton says Rhodes has been compromised. Rhodes is a good guy and believes the gibberish coming out of his mouth. There have been many compromises throughout Rhodes’ career. He was Dusty’s kid, then Legacy, then Dashing, then Stardust. Then he left, rebranded himself with a pocket watch, and returned. Rhodes is still a good guy.
Who in the locker room has never changed or compromised? Orton says he has never changed. He’s always been him. WWE Superstars do interviews with people telling them to be them times ten. Orton says he’s Randy Orton x 1. Orton is and always will be himself. He’s done despicable things to other people in this business to win World Titles. Orton will be who he needs to be, which is himself, to get the job done. There is no gray. It’s black and white. If Rhodes kicks Orton, then he’s compromised. If he doesn’t kick him, then Cody Rhodes has peaked. Orton has a question for Cole: does he think Rhodes will do it? Cole is nervous and isn’t in a position to answer. Orton says Rhodes is Cole’s best friend. Does Cole think Rhodes has the capability to kick him in the head or not? Cole sheepishly says, “No.”
Orton says Cole is dead on. Orton takes the microphone off and tells Cole to have a great rest of the show. Cole looks disturbed.
Backstage Interview
Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn is pacing backstage when Cathy Kelley walks up. A lot of people don’t want him to be champion, like Nick Aldis. Last week, he tried to do the same thing to him with Kevin Owens, but Zayn prevailed. Whatever they throw at him, he’ll prevail. Zayn is the only one doing things for the right reasons. As long as he has the title, it’s a source of hope for millions around the world. You can still be the last good guy. The vultures are doing it for the wrong reasons. Finn Bálor says they’re coming after him because Zayn chose to screw them over. Bálor is coming for Zayn. He doesn’t care whether he wins Money in the Bank, but he’s coming for Zayn and the title no matter what. Then, we’ll see what justice really looks like. Bálor walks off.
Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae walk over. Zayn wants to talk, but Gargano wants a title match. Zayn says Nick Aldis said no. Zayn refused to leave empty-handed and got Gargano and LeRae qualifying matches for Money in the Bank. They both deserve it. They’ll move forward with Gargano as Money in the Bank, and that’s how he’ll get his title. Zayn has Gargano’s back. Is Gargano ride or die? LeRae looks unsure, but she shrugs. Gargano then says he’s ride-or-die with Zayn. They walk off, and Zayn looks thrilled.

6-Woman Tag Team Match
WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green, Paige, and Tiffany Stratton vs. Fatal Influence (WWE Women’s United States Champion Jacy Jayne, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid)
Referee: Daphne LaShaunn
Fallon Henley will start against Paige. They lock up, and Henley pulls her hair to back her into the corner. Paige pushes her and slaps her down. Paige applies a side headlock, but Paige gets out and kicks Henley. Lainey Reid tags in, but Paige kicks her down. Reid goes to the apron, so Paige pulls her through the ropes and knees away at her chest. Chelsea Green tags in and avalanches Reid with a double knee. Tiffany Stratton then avalanches Reid again. Paige then kicks Henley in the face.
-Commercial Break-
Back from the break, Stratton pins Jayne for a two-count. Stratton punches away at Jayne and hits the ropes, but Jayne floors her with a back elbow. Henley tags in, as does Reid. They take Stratton down, and Reid hits a basement blockbuster for a two-count. Reid attacks Paige on the apron and tags Henley in. Henley sends Stratton into the ropes, but they take each other out with a double hair pull.
Reid and Green tag in. Green hits a pair of Japanese arm drags before slapping her in the face. Green knocks her into Jayne and slams her down. Green big boots Henley off the apron and goes to the top rope. Green jumps over Reid, but Reid superkicks her. Green gets out of a slam. Jayne and Paige tag in. Paige hits a clothesline, followed by a German Suplex. Paige connects with a fisherman’s suplex before shouting that this is her house. Paige hits a Paige Turner. 1… 2… Henley breaks it up. Stratton runs in, but Henley takes her out. Green slaps Henley and sends her out of the ring. Reid charges, but Green sends her out. Henley pulls Green out of the ring, but Stratton comes off the top rope with a crossbody block to the floor on Henley and Reid! Jayne then hits Stratton and Green with a cannonball off the apron.
In the ring, Paige hits the ropes, but Nikki Bella appears at the ringside to trip her. Jayne hits Paige with a Rolling Encore for the win.
Winners by Pinfall: Fatal Influence
Video: Earlier this week, R-Truth was doing an interview when Damian Priest viciously attacked him. Priest said he should be a champion instead of messing with him.
Backstage Interview
Cathy Kelley is backstage with Gunther. Gunther says Finn Bálor can’t keep his emotions in check. Danhausen interrupts and realizes that Gunther won’t split the Human Monies in the Briefcase with him. Danhausen goes to curse Gunther, but Gunther grabs him by the throat and threatens him before walking off. Danhausen limps away.
Video: CM Punk threw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field during a Chicago Cubs game before singing, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”

Cody Rhodes addresses Randy Orton
“Wrestling has more than one royal family.”
“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring. Rhodes gets a mixed reaction. Rhodes asks what they want to talk about. Maybe it can be the Money in the Bank Qualifying Match, but that’s next week. Let’s make it black and white. At SummerSlam, he had CM Punk beaten and was going to win the Undisputed WWE Championship for a fourth time, but that didn’t happen. It wasn’t because of CM Punk. It happened because of Randy Orton. Rhodes respects Punk. Punk went on to lose the title to Sami Zayn. Rhodes knows he can beat Sami Zayn, but what he knows and needs to do are two different things. What he knows is he has to address the lunatic who scared Michael Cole earlier, Randy Orton. Orton is making it an unwinnable position for him. Rhodes has been asked by his boss to give his soul, and he refused. Rhodes had to beat John Cena on his retirement tour. Rhodes’ first title run was against beloved WWE Superstars. Rhodes is the king of unwinnable positions.
Rhodes promises that he will kick Orton’s head off his shoulders, but he can’t promise that Orton will be the only one. Rhodes’ music plays, and he leaves the ring.
CM Punk’s music hits, and Cody Rhodes stares at him before heading to the back.
